Ren has spent 35 years in the IT field with a focus on application development for key business systems. A graduate of Western Michigan University, Ren got his start as a software developer for a large federal agency specializing in end-user productivity and organizational messaging applications. After several years providing commercial consulting for Lotus Development and IBM, during which he developed the security tracking application for the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta, Ren became a Director and Senior Scientist for Creative Technology until it was purchased by General Dynamics in 2003.

 

Ren founded Excel Technologies in 2003 and served as its President until 2016 and its Chief Financial Officer from 2016 to 2018. He is currently Special Adviser to the CEO.
